About Imago Dei Academy

The Imago Dei Academy is a Classical Christian School, located in Rusk County, Wisconsin. The school is currently located on the campus of Northland Bible Church in Ladysmith, WI. Imago Dei Academy is not affiliated with Northland Bible Church but is grateful for their willingness to let IDA use their building.

Founded in 2021, the School is a start-up member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools (A.C.C.S). Imago Dei Academy (IDA) opened its doors to students for the first time in the fall of 2022. Currently IDA offers education for students in grades K-9. IDA started to offer a curriculum for High School students, beginning with 9th graders, in the Fall of 2023.

Imago Dei Academy is an idea birthed by a group of parents and citizens who wanted to see Christ-Centered Education offered to students of all grade levels in our area. “Imago Dei”, Latin for “Made in God’s Image”, is a Christian doctrine that goes beyond denominational borders. It stems from the Genesis account found in Chapter 1: Verse 27 that states, “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created them.” At Imago Dei we believe this to be absolute truth. In a cultural moment where one’s identity plays such a serious role in the public discourse, we believe the doctrine of “Imago Dei” has never been more important.

Our goal is to see a thriving Christian community at Imago Dei. We are eager to see students center their lives on a robust Biblical worldview. We want to see them acquire the virtue required to be real leaders in a world that is changing at unprecedented pace. We look forward to watching them gain the skills and knowledge to change communities and alter futures, all in the name of the One who created them.
