Imago Dei Academy opened September 2022. They are located at the campus building they own at 1104 Lake Ave. in Ladysmith, WI. Imago Dei Academy has been and will continue to be a multi-denominational effort among Christian believers in Rusk County.
We currently serve Preschool (2.5-4 year olds) and Jr. Kindergarten – 12th grade.
As a not for profit private school, we are dependent on fundraising and tuition to meet operational costs. We are a community endeavor, so all families participating are required to contribute financially. Imago Dei Leadership remains committed, however, to providing an education that will meet the financial needs of all accepted families. This comes via tuition assistance in the form of unique fundraising options and scholarships.
Tuition is based on the grade level.

We are a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and a partner member of the Classical Latin School Association(CLSA). IDA will become eligible for accreditation with both of our governing organizations after 5 years in operation (2027). Upon completing that milestone, Imago Dei Academy intends on reaching full accreditation with the ACCS and the CLSA. A child that graduates from Imago Dei will be fully prepared and qualified to attend all types of four year colleges and universities.
As a Classical Christian School, Imago Dei will provide a curriculum that may differ from what a teacher will experience in a traditional public school setting. First and foremost, a teacher at Imago Dei must put Christ and his teachings before any personal position, and they themselves must live a life with those ideals at the center. Imago Dei Academy utilizes a Classical and Christian curriculum provided by Memoria Press based out of Louisville, Kentucky. Each July, Imago Dei Academy teachers attend and receive training on curriculum implementation through Memoria Press and the staff at Highlands Latin School in Louisville. Academically, it is preferred that a teacher possesses a Bachelor’s Degree or higher. State licensure is not required, but a teacher who lives out their faith in their vocation and has a professional teaching resume will likely be an asset.
